A local shop has a Mod. 64 2.5" barrel. I believe it is a 64-3. Condition is excellent (98%) and it comes with original S&W service grips, a set of S&W square butt grips, a set of Herrett finger groove grips, original 2 piece blue S&W box all paper work and cleaning rod/brush new in bag. Price:$425 plus tax and background check for a total of about $475.

Deal or no deal and yes, if I don't buy it I will tell you where it is located in the Great State of Tennessee

Do you want a Mod 64 or did you just run across this one?
If you want it, even if it is about $50 to high, that shouldn't be a stopper.

It's not a screamin' deal, IMHO but it sounds like a nice package.

I paid $385 OTD for one a few months back with no box or extras, did have original numbered wood grips on it though.

Damn. I bought a 2" 64 about 2 years ago for $265 and thought I got ripped off.

I swear my wife will be a millionaire when she sells my $10,000 worth of guns.

If that is what you are looking for, go for it
My ccw thought is a model 64 3" custom action job, dehoned and a fiber optic front sight W/RB
and bead blasted & 2/3rd hammer, trigger rounded and polished.
I may be forced to build this off of a 4" gun
My custom carry (CCW Just for me!)

I did buy a 2" 64-6 year or two ago. Lovely piece of shooting iron and lot easier to shoot than a J frame. I'd buy it.

if you wanted to carry this gun concealed i might think about a lighhter snub nose s&w.if you wanted to carry it in your truck [guys in the south most always drive trucks]or you just wanted because you like it then buy it.
