According to SCSW-3:

65-5 in 1997 changed to MIM trigger. 65-6 in 1997 changed to MIM hammer.

So the 65-3 has SS hammer/trigger?

Some had a flash chromed carbon steel tigger and hammer. Both of my 64-5 (1996?)factory DAO's have carbon steel triggers and hammers.

Photoman44 - here is an '82 65-3. Can't tell if flash chromed or SS hammer/trigger. Any idea?

I have a 3" Model 65-5 that has no MIM parts - Ser. No. CAAxxxx.

I also have a 65-5 in 3" configuration. Ser No. BPN9xxx How can I tell if the trigger is a mim part?
