1982 suggests the fantastic resource that most of us refer to, The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 4th Edition, by Supica and Nahas.

Hey guys,

I'm not calling anyone old. I myself have no room to talk.
I came by this gun from my dad when he passed in 1996, so it seemed I've had it a long time. It was his favorite weapon.
Probably be the last one I would ever sell, if at all.
This forum is the best.

Thanks for all your good will,
Bill

Welcome to the FORUM from Michigan! I had a revolver that was given to me by my Dad. It was a 6" 1905 4th. change M&P, shipped June 1919. It still functions well. My Son is caretaker of it now. Bob
