Acquired a consecutive pair of 68-2 "Los Angeles Police Department" stainless revolvers this week end (SN AEU50xx). One is in the original blue S&W box. The other is in a wood display box with the LAPD logo in the upper left corner and a brass plate in the lower right corner "City of Los Angeles 200th Anniversary 1781-1981"
Question is, Has anyone seen a display box for the LAPD gun? The CHP version had a Commemorative display box for the CHP gun with its logo over most of the lid, but this is the first LAPD display box I've seen. Anyone help?
