Model 686, CS-1, 3 inch

I have an opportunity to buy a 686, CS-1. It is a 3 inch, in the box with all the paperwork and tools. It is in excellent condition with only a minor turn line. I'm trying to figure out a what sort of reasonable offer to make. Any help would be appreciated!

I have had one for many years. I used to have two of them but sold one to offset the cost of the one I kept. Mine has the box etc but it was one of the overruns with magnas and not the pacs that came on the issued ones. I would say they are running in the $1500 range and maybe slightly higher so if you can get it for less than that you will be doing well.

A quick check on GB shows a couple of similarly described 3” CS-1 pistols recently selling at $1300 and $1600 by two very reputable dealers… They have certainly sold for more, and for less, but this should give you a pretty good ballpark idea…

Thank you both for your help! That gives me a good place to start the negotiation process. I really don't need it, but I kind of like the idea of somewhat concealable L frame.
