I have a 67 no dash from 1973. It has the early all stainless rear sight. The 67 is the stainless version of the Model 15. Good shooters, and look right nice too! Bob

The tapered barrel, thin ribbed 4" 67 is probably the nicest balance of any gun I own. Mine is a first year production with stainless rear sights and it'll be with me forever. The 67 is my home gun in .38Spl, the 3" 65 in .357Mag is my carry gun.

A 67 was my issued duty gun 1987 to 1991. A great gun and the top of the line for Smith and Wesson .38 If I recall correctly.
Mine had Presentation Pachmayr Grips on it that looked too big for the guns but felt great in the hand. The duty round was a lead semi-wadcutter. We stepped up to the same round in a +P. We never did have hollowpoints for the .38's.
A General Order specifically prohibited wadcutters.
One of the guys I work withs father was a Phila Officer and had a model 10 Skinny Barrel as his issued duty gun. He couldn't believe 67's were our issued gun. Must have been a highly regarded arm.

Nice 67, but I am curious. Did you change your rear sights? My 1973 no dash has stainless rear sights. Bob
I bought it this way without the SS Sights. I wondered myself whether they are original. I heard that many people changed after purchase from the SS because it was hard to see against the SS gun. That makes sense especially since SW went to black sights shortly after. The only way for me to know for sure would be to letter it. I'm not sure it's worth the $50 to know Mike
MikeLike the 66's they changed the sights midway through the no dash run to black.
