MOP grips

I just bought these on an auction site. I haven't received them. I basically bought a pig in a poke hoping they're something.
I read on the forum that the medallions were introduced in 1894. Can anyone tell me what they might be from this one picture? Factory? Real MOP? Age? Models they fit?
Any help will be appreciated. I probably won't have them for 2-3 weeks so I can't answer any questions. This one picture is all that was provided and I bid on them. You know what they say about a fool and his money...I hope I don't fall into that category.
If real and factory, clean them up or leave as is?

The color is a bit odd for MOP. The factory claimed that the medallions were the proof that MOP stocks were factory original, compared to after-market that had no medallions. I would polish the medallions, they look really badly tarnished for being Gold! Use a Q Tip with Mothers or Flitz to polish with and a clean one to buff.

To me, they appear to be genuine MOP and they are quite old. Even MOP tends to yellow a little, especially after 100+ years of use. As Alk8944 says, I would gently polish the medallions, and then only apply RenWax to the outer surface of the stocks. On the inner surfaces however, I would probably try to carefully apply Flitz/Mother's to remove the "rust" spots as they may transfer to the revolver on which you install them. I have no idea as to which type of revolver they were made for since I cannot tell what size they are. Those stocks may be fairly fragile at this point, so I definitely would not shoot a revolver with them installed. Enjoy!

From their aged appearance, I'd guess "I" frame size.

I think they were already polished and the very thin gold wash is gone forever. You are looking now at tarnished brass. Gold never tarnishes. I did a piece on hard rubber stocks at one time and you can check your measurements to see what frame size they fit.
