Which movies spoke to you most through their music? What themes remain with you and which did you buy?
Here's one of my favorites, "We Were Soldiers". I thought of adding it to the sad songs thread, but it and other movie songs deserve their own topic.
For me, this is one of the most moving films of all time. If you haven't seen it, do. It's an emotional experience and a true story.
Out of the battle it depicts, two of the real participants received the Medal of Honor, and at least two, including Lt. Col. Hal Moore, were awarded the DSC. (So was Sgt. Savage.) The following day, a lieutenant was in a nearby action that resulted in him also receiving the Medal of Honor.
The fight was in the Ia Drang Valley of Vietnam. It was the sort of action described by a Shakespearean character in Henry VI as, "iron wars". In thy faint slumbers I by thee have watch'd, And heard thee murmur tales of iron wars
