Rant:
Guys, I thought I wanted to see, "The Ghost and the Darkness" again. The lions really were one of the scariest things I've ever seen in a movie. So, I went to YouTube and saw the trailer. The very sight of that man Douglas as Remington so repelled me that I decided to skip finding the movie.
If real, that jerk could have looked in a mirror and cut his own hair with scissors and shaved and been at least semi presentable. I think Douglas deliberately inferred that a scout and hunter and gun owner would look disreputable, a rustic. The movie was all but ruined by his intrusive presence. Unfortunately, many characters in modern Westerns portrayed men that way .
