She should have killed the low life. It is hard to determine or try to figure out the mindset of people on drugs or whatever it be when it comes to crimes commited on their fellow man. To break in like that in broad daylight certainly seems pretty nervy.
She should have reloaded and kept on shooting.

Here in Finland, the mother would probably be charged with use of excessive force in self defense situation. And if the perp dies, the charge would be man slaughter.

Unfortunately that type of scenario has also happened in the good old USA.If he survives he will probably serve some time and be turned loose again.If he doesn't there is always the possibility that his surviving family members could sue.The sad part is that some judge who has his head where there is no sunshine may actually allow the case be tried.Big part of the problem in this country today.
