Mounting Rings for Leupold Scope

I am considering buying a Leupold VX-II scope, 3-9x40, for my 15-22. I haven't actually seen one yet. Does anyone know whether it would require low, medium or high mounting rings?

I was thinking of getting the flip-up caps, but I'm not sure. Does it make a difference on the mounting rings?

I've used leupold aluminum mounts in the past and unlike other aluminum rings, they stay solid.

I looked at a lot of options before going with the Burris P.E.P.R. mount for my Redfield (Leupold) 3-9x40 this week. Took 2 weeks to get, but worth the wait.
