MP 340 question

Why my mp 340 revolver has internal lock?

I think they are like the 442 and 642, they come both ways. My 442 is a dash 1, and does not have the lock. The dash 2's do.

FWIW, my 442-2 does not have the lock.

They are available both ways and have different SKU numbers for lock versus no lock.

Nope. One of my 340PDs has a lock, the 2nd does not. My 2 M&P 340s do not have locks.

The M640 Pro does not have the IL, the dash 3 does. You have to pay a premium price to eliminate a "feature" that you don't want. Marketing genius!!
