Mp15-22 50RD Drum not working

Hi all I just purchased this black dog 50rd drum from chesperthandirt, MAG-4141 - Mag S&W M&P 15-22 .22LR 50 Round Drum Black Dog Machine Clear Smoke Polycarbonate Body Interchangeable Feed Tower

Unfortunately the top part of the drum doesn't fit into my mp15-22, anyone ever had this issue? Do i need to buy an adapter of some sort?

Make sure the box doesn't say Mag AR-15 .22lr 50rd. I bought this same drum at CTD, and the guy helping me gave me the wrong one. I got home and tried to put the drum in and it would not fit. I looked at it and compared it to my 25 rd magazine and they didn't match up. I realized they have another drum that looks just like it for AR conversions to 22lr and it won't work for the 15-22. If the box says S&W 15-22, they may have accidentally opened the box and put the wrong drum back in the 15-22 box. When I bought mine, all of the BlackDog drums were together in the same bin, and I can see how they could have accidentally gotten mixed up.

Hey thanks for your response,yeah the box says a r15.22 50 round drum , "Fits Atchisson style drop in .22 conversions and dedicated uppers."

So I believe they sent me the wrong one like you gotten, because yes it doesn't fit like the other magazines, even if you wanted to pry push it in. They must of sent me the wrong one since I ordered sw 15/22, they should really clarify which is being sent. Guess I will call and send back and make them replace with the correct drum
