I think it obviously, as true as is practical for a rimfire, to the tried and true Atchison Rifle design. I commend S&W for keeping it simple. I like the polymer material also, and I trust it. I have had no trouble with my 15-22 at all. It is both surprisingly accurate and great fun to shoot. I have no regrets at all.

I liked my 15-22 when I first got it. I did get frustrated for a period with a lot of FTFeed and FTEs. But a trip on the FedEx truck cured that.

Now I love the 15-22. It is a fun gun to shoot. I just got my Rock River NM 2 stage trigger back from a massage from Bill Springfield. This rifle kick butt.

In this order.... I purchased the 15-22 for it's style, accessory rail capacity and AR interchangeability. It's a fine short range plinker.

I'd picked "all of the above". :D

  • It looks good
  • It shoots great
  • Light weight
  • Tons of fun
  • Lots of cool factors
  • Hundreds of accessories/mods to add on
  • Reasonable price
  • Cheap to shoot
  • My friends loves it
  • My wife loves it
  • and most of all, "My kids love it" ;)

I love mine , like 27 Beck, i had to send mine back to s&w but after that, its been a blast to shoot, its my favorit rifle i have, dont have anything like the 15-22. Its bad to the bone.

I have 15-22's two for my twin sons and twin nephews… I couldn't be more happy with them (the rifles, not the kids). I think it is the responsibility of every father, and a duty to our children, that they should receive basic marksmanship and firearm safety training on something resembling as closely as possible to our current military rifle.

Regrettably, and proudly, odds are pretty good that many of our sons & daughters will wear our country's uniform one day and I would hate to ever think that a child of mine went into the military (much less into combat) and I hadn't done everything I could to prepare them…

That, and the M&P 15-22 is just plain fun to shoot…

Only been allowed to "test" it with 250 rounds. But so far its love......... Christmas morning it may become true love....

My SW 15-22

I really love my 15-22. I looked at several of these AR types and decided on the SW due to weight price etc. Was able to find mags at a good price. Dressed it up a bit and after a few hundred rounds, great!

:)LOVE IT.

Just got mine back from SW yesterday.
Range trip today was majic time.
Shoots great
Looks great (COOL)

I cant wait to get to my first steel match.....

If it's possible to love an inanimate object I'd say I love my 15-22. It goes to the rifle range every time I got. Just plain fun to shoot. My daughter and grandson had a great time shooting it too.

LIKE it a lot, and no doubt it'll become true LOVE. Shot mine for the first time yesterday, and only got about 125 rounds thru, it was just downright bitter cold outside. I bought mine early November, so after reading of broken ejectors, hoped I had an updated model, and decided I would definitely use high velocity rounds or ones also marked for semi autos (Federal bulk).

I had a few initial Fail To Feeds, because I had not been careful about loading magazine carefully. If the first round fired, the entire magazine fed just fine. I never had any type of jam.

I shot Federal bulk high velocity, and Winchester high velocity (clear red plastic boxes of 100 I've found at Walmart), and both worked great.

I also mounted a CenterPoint red-green dot sight, and when dialed in, I was easily picking off small apples at ~50 yards. I've never owned any type of scope, and so was pretty much accustomed to standard sights, and not sure what to expect. Very happy with this addition, so far.
