So I received my rifle back today but the they swapped out the original mag with another. I had mine blocked but now the one I have is a 25 round. I know it's illegal to have these in CA and I also thought it was illegal to ship them here. I didn't get any free mags either. Now I have to pay to re-block this mag. Pain in the butt. Anyone else have this happen to them and does anyone use the 25 round and just load ten rounds (I know it's a no no but would anyone bother you with a .22 rifle)

I'd buy a 50 rd drum and put 5 rds in it at a time! Can you imagine when you took it to the range? :D The liberals sure would be nervous:D

The new mag I got has both ".22lr and 25 round". I emailed S&W customer service and to my surprise they said they will ship 2 mags to me for the problems. WOW, I can't believe they did that. I thought they were going to be like, sorry deal with it. Nice surprise.

to be honest ive never had a problem with s&w on repair im sure they r getting tired of working on the 15-22s so maybe they r trying something new... i called about buffers for my 22a and they sent me a sck full no charge... glad it all worked out for you

S&W repair has a pretty good reputation. An 80 year old guy at the range (shoots better than a lot of folks) was telling a story of how a neighbor lost his revolver while working the fields... and found it a couple days later with the blade of a tractor. Sent it to S&W along with a note of what happened... S&W fixed him up no charge.

S&W is smart to do stuff like that because the story will get told over and over and over again. Botach salesman might not be that smart.
