I have read a lot about moon clips and the advantage of having guns altered for moon clips etc. Can this be done on all of them? I have a couple of .357's that I am thinking of having it done on or to. CS-1, 3" 66 and a .357 Mtn Gun.

What is the best revolver to do this with for carry. I suppose that a .45 auto is one of the best since it is a short, stubby little cartridge and would load more easily than say a .357.

should the guns be sent to S&W for the conversion or to someone else.

Waht are the best moon clips and where do I get them

The only downside ( a small one) is some brands of brass will have differences in the groove width that the clips snaps onto. You will figure out quickly which ones are which. It's generally better to have the rounds slightly loose in the clip so they can line up with the chambers easily. You want them to fall in without any effort on your part. TK Custom does really good work. Definitely check them out.

Many places cut the cylinder for moons. I had my ICORE 686 done by Mark Hatrtshorne at Pinnacle High Performance. Workmanship and turnaround time were both excellent. Note that you only need to send the cylinder, not the whole gun. Saves quite a bit on shipping.
