Just bought the Trijicon HD night sights for my Shield 40. I ended up having to buy the MGW sight pusher tool also. Tried a brass punch but couldn't move the sights. Even with the sight pusher tool I had to crank pretty hard. So between the tool and the sights, it was about $250. I love the sights though. The orange dot is nice in daylight. The tool is good to have also, as I was able to tweak the front sight some while sighting in. The accuracy of this gun just amazes me. I was getting 2" groups at 25 yards right in the bullseye. I thought about doing the Apex carry kit as I had the rear sight off anyways, but my stock trigger seems very good. Feels about the same as my Glock trigger.

Those look nice. I was going to get the yellow, it's $26 cheaper but the orange really pops out in the daylight.

I love the Trijicon HDs. I put the yellow version on my Shield and my Pro Series. And, like you, I thought my Shield's trigger was pretty good until I put an Apex kit in the Pro. Shield now has one too and loving it.

Do you like the yellow? How is it in daylight?

got a set of those on my XD. Absolutely love them. Saving up to upgrade my Shield with them next.
Can't speak to the yellow color, but the orange is super easy to pick up in the daylight.

I like to yellow very much. I had them on the Shield for some months before I got the Pro Series and put them on the new gun without hesitation. I'm sure it is a matter of personal taste and what works for your eyes, but the yellow jumps right out for me in daylight and deep shadow both. That said, I expect the orange would work great too.

I saw them both in the store, in the packaging, and I liked the yellow but the lighting in the store made it hard to imagine how they would look in bright daylight. I think I will stick with my original plan and get the yellow.

That photo is just enough to make me want to switch out the stock sights for those. Thanks for the good photo!

you will be glad you did. World of difference between stock and the Triji HDs

I never regret updating them on my XD.

I found the yellow annoyingly bright in outdoor situations, under bright sunlight anyways.

I have posted this before but it seems helpful to some. Just for comparison. Ameriglo yellow vs. orange. MY eyes prefer the yellow, but that is just me.
