So my wife was on the hunt for a "cowboy" revolver. She looked at a few single actions but did not like those. When I traded for my 686 she immediately claimed it despite the fact that it was not exactly "cowboy" (she's addicted to horses and horse-related items).
Well that didn't exactly go over well because the 686 was "mine"
So on the hunt I was for another S&W, and happened upon this Nickel 586. I did not like the Nickel from the photos, but it was a great deal so I figured I would give it a chance, and I can tell you the Nickel looks 100% better in real life! I picked this up for $700 from the original owner with 300 rounds of 38 special and 357, original target grips (never used), eagle grips, and a nice leather holster. This was barely shot, and kept in the safe most of its life. Dated April of 1986.
Well here she is (586 no dash):
I also located some target grips for my 686, but this 586 makes my 686 look bad...
When the snow melts I will update with some better quality photos!
