When I tried to pick her up and encourage her to lounge elsewhere, I do believe her response translated as something like, "You can haz my Smiffs when you pry them from my cold, dead pawz." She seems to have a distinct preference for the Model 29-2 with the 6-1/2 barrel, although she likes the 4-incher as well.

Sorry ... cats are cute, but, they are totally and completely useless. I never saw anyone afraid of an attack cat, or even a cat that was "packing" heat.

Don't get me wrong, I like cats but I have never owned one. They don't do ANYTHING but sop up the food, get lost at night, and don't even know you're there unless they want something. Hey, this sounds familiar. LOL

I have had dogs my entire adult life. The past 3 were rescues. I once owned an extremely intelligent Doberman (he passed about 30 years ago). In an outside environment or while in my shop, he stuck to me like glue. He would not let anyone, not even my best friend (who he knew and liked), raise a hand higher than their waist if there was an object in that hand. If he saw a gun, "in hand" or "on" anyone near me, he would become very, VERY, agitated and defensive.

Yet, when inside my house the children would climb on his back to try to ride him like a pony and he NEVER complained.

That was "the" smartest dog I ever owned and he was a rescue. He was scared, badly beaten with open wounds, abused, starved and sick when I rescued him. Within 2 months his weight doubled in muscle and tone. He became as healthy as a thoroughbred race horse. His coat came back to a bright luster and he healed so well that you could barely notice his scars.

I have always been a sucker for dogs. I fed every stray that stopped by and looked hungry trying to find them homes so they would not be put down.

A person can betray you but a dog never will. A dog is "loyalty" on 4 legs. You come home and the dog is always excited to see you.

Well by looking at the Grips and at her, they match! :D

Check out my avatar, that's Gwenny the gun cat who just had to pose with her M-19"s. She even allows me to shoot em every now and again!

I like the OP's photo and his cat's attitude. It's made an old saying pop back into my mind, that all calico cats are female. Anyone else heard that one before?

Personally, I like cats and dogs, and currently have 2 porch kitty's and one inside pooch that is spoiled plumb rotten. I had a best buddy cat that lived inside with me for 18 years. According to my wife, he would know what time I normally got home and would wake up, jump down and go to the back door, where he always greeted me when I came in. Sam was a good friend, and as loyal as any dog I've ever had. (he was a rescue too) I never had a dog or cat that I didn't grieve over miserably when they passed.

The attitude is called "persnickety." These three-colored female cats want things--actually, everything--done a certain way. They follow protocol, and expect you to do so, as well. They are the embodiment of The Old School.

This cat saved the kid from even worse injuries aside from the three stitches the kid had to have due to the dog's bite.
