My Darling Clementine

I watch a lot of westerns, never to see if they are historically correct but because I want to be entertained. 'My Darling Clemintine' is a classic, Earp movies always take liberties with the truth. Lok at Costner's and 'Tombstone'. The closest was hour of the gun but even that had Doc Holliday an unrepentant ex rebel soldier.

Mr. Burp, if you watch Ward Bond washing his face before Victor Mature comes into the marshall's office he has boots on. When they all walk down to the corral look at Bond and he is in his sock feet. Also as he and Doc jump into the ditch you will see that both are shoeless. And when the come out of the barn you will see both again are shoeless. This always interested me in that no one has been able to say why they were that way.
Maybe someone can explain this.
