My favorite S&W.....

New member here, not new anywhere else, been around awhile. Been a handgunner for close to sixty years.

Here is my favorite Smith, a Model 29 5" Full Lug made up for me in 1991:



This gun has only about 10,000 rounds fired through it. Never holster carried, range gun only.

Very nice! I'd have a difficult time picking one favorite. Amongst my favorites are these two:

Model 25-9

Model 625-7

Both are great shooters and I love the .45 Colt cartridge.

By interesting coincidence, I have a friend in the process of making up one similar to that right now. He's fond of the unfluted cylinder, but other than that, his gun will be a dead-ringer for yours.

Well, I sort of got disconnected from this forum, and recents attempt to log on went thwarted. Never could seem to get my user name and password just right. Finally got things together and got logged on after some wiggling around.

And after getting back in, thought I was forgotten so figured I was a new member. Anyway, here I am.
