my idea for a carbine

i have an idea for a carbine. its based on the m1 carbine design but my carbine would fire 45 long colt and .410 shotgun ammunition from a 10 or 15 or 30 around magazine i would appreciate any and all feed back from my fellow forum members sincerely mg357 a very proud member of the s&w forum

Rimmed ammo would be the biggest set back to this idea. It's not impossible, but it would be a serious challenge to overcome. They have the Saiga in .410 now so it's a viable concept. But it uses a completely different operating system than the carbine. I think it runs on an operating rod like the garand, fal etc.
