I bought this gun on a whim a week ago. Saw it in the LGS for 425 and bought it more because of price than need. I already have the FS and the Shield so I was wondering where The 9c would fit in. It fit right in as the only gun I've been bringing to the range lately. It shoots dead on, recoil is non existent and with the small grip it fits my hand like a glove

This has to be the most versatile pistol I own as well. Small enough to carry but big enough for a HD gun and with the sleeve spacer it'd nice to be able to use the 17 rounders.

Heh funny how a gun you had no plans to buy becomes the favorite

As far as 9's go it beats out my XDS, 938, FS and the Shield. They are all fine guns but they have been regulated to safe duty for now

Such a breeze to shoot and clean. M-Pro 7 to clean and Rand to lube. Have not found a better or quicker combo

Don't think I want to IWB it but would like too find a nice OWB that keeps it close and high

If you've been hemming and hawing on a compact , don't. Just buy the damn thing lol

My 9c is also my favorite pistol. I've been thinking of getting a shield. What would you say makes you like your 9c over your shield?

My M&P 40C has become my favorite. Just like American Express, I don't leave home without it. I liked shooting my 1911 45 APC at the range but the 40C has moved right in.

Thinking about a 9mm to fill in the gap, maybe a Shield or Springfield Armory compact or?????

For right now it is the feel in my hands. Capacity and recoil management as well

That being said I love my Shield too. You can't beat its thinness for conceal ability and it also has a better trigger.

It will probably come down to winter EDC for the Compact and summer duty for the Shield

Grab a Shield if you have the funds :)

I have carried a 9c for a number of years and it was my favorite....until I brought home a 45c. I carry it in a Crossbreed SuperTuck daily. It actually weighs about the same as the 9c because it carries less ammo.

I just ordered a Supertuck for the 9c I'm going to be getting; does the 45c fit the same holster?

I'm picking one up for my G/F as well.
She's a southpaw and struggled with my SD40VE.
I think the size and ambi nature of this gun will suit her well.
Glad to see good reviews on this!

I have always been a big Glock person, but I just recently started shooting the Smith & Wesson M&P's. I started with a .40 Shield and now I have a FS 9 Pro and a 9c. Great guns. I was at the range the other day with my 9c for the first time. I also had my FS Glock 17 with me. Same 9mm ammo and the 9c had about half the felt recoil then the G17 did. I was very impressed with how the 9c handled. Great little gun. I will always love my Glocks but I really like the M&P series weapons as well, especially with the APEX trigger duty/carry kit installed.

I am also becoming especially fond of my 9c when I go to shoot it is with me. Mine seems to shoot better than I can and the sights are dead on also. I really like it. I picked the 9c over the shield because of the way it fit my hand and mag capacity. The shield just doesn't feel good in my hand.

Yes, I use mine both for the 9c and 45c. I just ordered a Tuckable from N82 Tactical that a Forum member recommended to see if it could beat the comfort of the Crossbreed. Now I will have a holster for each gun.

Take a look at the High Noon Holsters Slide Guard. Very fine holster that rides high and close to the body. After 36 years of serious carry for business, High Noon is the only holsters I buy or use. Bill

I love my M&P9c, and shoot very well with it. I've had it since 2007 and about year ago added a M&P9 Pro 4.25". I still shoot better with the 9c, although the gap is closing with the FS.

I have a 9c. I have never shot one of the micro 9s, But I hear that recoil can be an issue. Don't seem to have that problem with the 9C, which could be due to its weight (21 oz.).
I have a have a Black Hawk nylon pancake holster. You can remove the thumb break and wear inside the belt which secures the pistol fine. I also have a DeSantis sof-tuk inside the pants holster with adjustable cant.

Not sure if I had to pick a favorite between my 9c and my Sig P226, but if I had to keep just one it would be the 9c. Easier to carry, good range gun, fits my small hands better, and is reliable. I'd hate to get rid of either.

My 9c is just small enough to fit in my coat pocket. I don't wear gloves but walk with my hands in my pockets to keep them warm.

When I was picking an EDC I was torn between the G26 and a 9c. THe Glock shoots extraordinarily well especially for its size but the ergos and the ability to mount a light to the rail won me over for the M&P.

I have a glock 27 gen 4, how does it compare in size/weight to the compact series?

I have the .40 FS and the .40 Shield which I love! But curious about the flock comparison

I'll be getting a 9C this week. After looking and trying many options it is a great all purpose choice carry/home/range especially w/ flush mag-finger ext/ and full mag xgrip capability. Rail for light/laser options to accessorize how you want.
