Well, new to me, anyway. I picked this up at the SCACA show in Columbia last week.

There was a decent selection of 625's this time. There was another 5", 625-2, and a 3", 625-3. I was tempted by the 3", but I already have one, and I didn't have a 5".

I've set this up for USPSA Revolver - chamfered chamber holes, C&S light pipe front and rear sights, and a very smooth 7 pound DA pull. There is almost no end shake, and the revolver times up well. B/C gap is 0.007". I probably won't shoot any better, but I'll be dressed in style.

Very nice, I haven't seen a full lug 625-4 until your pic. Nice sights! I just traded off a 325PD for a Mannlicher/Shoenauer 1961. Always wanted one, but now I need another 625 or 25-2. Need more funds, too.
Nice gun, the smooth trigger doesn't abrade skin like the older checkered kind.

Buck, wow! I didn't see that one. (I didn't see you either for that matter!)

I was there all day Saturday.

Chris,

It was down at the end of the aisle from where you normally are. He only had a few guns, and this was one. I didn't get to come until Sunday. The Pinetucky USPSA match had 21 shooters show up, and we didn't get through until 2:30 Saturday afternoon. Maybe we can meet for lunch at the next show. I think I owe you one.

Revolver_King,

This is the first set of C&S sights that I have seen. They seem to be well made, and they weren't too difficult to install. You can have green or red for front and back sights. I put green on the front because I can see it better. I have been using SDM light pipe fronts and two white dot rears, and I think this is better.

BTW, nothing wrong with Scott's front sights, but he doesn't make a rear sight. (Hint, hint, Scott...)

Buck, now I know where it was. He also had a flat top Ruger 357.

We'll see when we meet next.

Nice heater, Buck! Shooting USPSA matches with a revolver is one of the toughest (and most fun) shooting challenges out there. My 625s and I are off to the USPSA Area 3 Championship this weekend--wish me luck.

Good luck at Area 3, Mike. Make sure that Cliff doesn't have so much beer that he can use it as an excuse for your beating him.

I just got up after a restful night of sleep at home. Cliff is probably just getting back to his room!

I bought my first 625-4 used and it had a 5" barrel. I had it cut down to 4" for concealed carry and IDPA use. It was a solid performer. I have a spare 5" barrel that I am contemplating putting on that match gun but I just can't bring myself to do it. I love my 4" guns way too much.

Carmoney is right about USPSA and revolver shooting. I gave up competitive revolver shooting for a few years and shot the auto, but now I'm back to the revolver. It's good to be back, but there isn't much competition unless you shoot major matches. I'll still shoot my 625s, even if I'm the only one at the local matches.
