My new Ruger Wrangler

Faulkner...Thanks for the report !
It was so much more informative than that dumb U-Tube range test I saw....
I usually slick up my six guns and have a soft spot for compact light weight revolvers , easy to carry on a belt , in a tackle box etc.
like a light weight SA kit gun... I going to start the couch mining , drawer searching and cookie jar emptying operations and see what I can find !

Thanks for the report.
I would have been mildly frustrated with the issues you had, but then again I am not too sure what one could reasonably expect out of a sub $200 revolver.

Really cool, truth be known today I found a used 3-screw old model Single Six at my LGS. Used a decent amount but the price was very good so I bought it. I went to the range with it a few hours ago, and the accuracy was not good with several different ammos. Something is wrong with the gun. I believe it out of time as I was getting lead splatter and the cylinder is wobbly.

Coincidentally, a guy in the next lane over had one of the new bronze Wranglers and he seemed happy with it, was shooting with his kids.

Anyone want to trade for a black Wrangler? :o

I've had the Wrangler to the range about four trips now and am really liking it. I've shot a variety of ammo through it but it really seems to like CCI standard velocity HP ammo. Dead on at 15 yards.

Took my Wrangler to the range for the first time today, Plenty accurate with Federal bulk ammo. Nice crisp trigger. No real recoil. I'll be looking to get another Wrangler soon.

I want one.

BAD.

How’r yall even finding these?? Around these parts, they’re a hen’s teeth!!

Vance Outdoors. You can pre-order one for $179.99 until May 30. Not sure about shipping costs. My FFL guy doesn't charge me for transfers. I could be into this for under two Benjamins. And I like the burnt bronze ones as will.

The original post dates back about 5 months and I'm still really liking my Ruger Wrangler. Fun plinking gun, but I've worn it while doing some squirrel hunting since the weather has cooled off some and was able to get close enough to one fox squirrel to take him out of the tree with the Wrangler, so it's plenty accurate enough. I had a crossdraw holster custom made that will fit my Wrangler (and other SAA's).

Have been reading up on these posts. I didn’t have a .22 SA and I wanted something for teaching the grandkids. So the local gun shop got a few in this week and I went looking.
Liked what I saw and thought for $189 couldn’t beat it! So one came home with me last night. All they had were the black ones which suited me just fine!
Now to get it to the range! ;)

I ordered mine online thru Sportsman's Warehouse, delivered to the local store. I ordered a holster from the Ruger store, but not really to my liking, a Triple K holster. I also ordered grips for it. At hunting camp, my wife shot it and claimed it for herself. When we got home, a local store had one and I bought it for me. Not my first revolver or pistol she has confiscated from me. Oh well, happy wife, happy life.
