My old toys need medicare

My GI Joe with kung fu grip has arthritis...Stretch Armstrong needed a hip replacement...my Rock'em Sock'em Robots are senile because of too many blows to the head...and my Weebles have fallen and can't get up. Has anybody seen my Simon Memory Game? I can't remember where I put it.

I think my pants are missing.

I don't need any of my toys fixed just my body. Came home Saturday after 3 1/2 days in the hospital. Heart problems plus an infected bladder. Doc says I'm in damn good shape for the shape I'm in.

My old toys don't need Medicare. All of my Smiths and most of my Colts are slightly younger than I, but my H&R USRA pistol and both of my two Official Police revolvers are older, and they are doing just fine. So am I, although my left front sight is near due for repair, and the right front sight cannot be repaired.

That is almost as bad as one of my Christmas presents. It was a box full of 1/2 inch iron pipe, short and medium pieces, Tees, elbows and connectors. It was my grandparents idea or what a 5 year old boy needed to play with.

I was once a 5 year old. Maybe he was right. Or maybe I was slow, and it should have come a few years later.
