It irks me to no end when folks ask for the “born on date” of their Smith and Wesson product. Come on folks your Smith and Wesson product was not now or ever will be born. It was manufactured.

Second part of this rant. The following was posted in the 1896 – 1961 section of the forum. “I just have to show what God blessed me with yesterday at the local gun show. An "excellent" condition Model 1950 (Pre-21) .44 Military with a 5" barrel - all numbers matching. One of only 1200 made.”

I’m thrilled that a member was able to find a rare and apparently like new revolver .But to believe that some sort of divine power had anything to do with this, is way over the top. I know this is the season of miracles and all that, but believing that finding a rare anything for sale, is a miracle is a little over the top, in the miracle department.

Rant off, have a great day all.

The misuse of “its” (possessive) vs. “it's” (it is) bugs me to no end. Members type it correctly barely better than 50% of the time. However, even S.P. couldn't slap the membership into line so I know better than to rant.

I always feel blessed when I find a gun on the born date that I really want.

But if you want a real rant, how about people who have a computer in front of them but when you post something like "I stayed at this wonderful lodge in the mountains of Montana called the Skyward Inn." And then someone invariably asks for a link....gee...do you think that maybe if you typed in "Skyward lodge, Montana," it might just come up right there in front of you on your screen!!! Rant off.

PS....don't google it, as there is no such lodge in Montana...but I'll be damned, even though I made it up...there is one in big bear...but don't ask me for the link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all ways gits me to.;) (I know, if I'd used "I" instead of "me" it would be 100% and spell check would remain silent.)

Well I certainly think you are a very fortunate man, if this is the worst thing you can think of to rant about. I should be so lucky.

People who refer to a firearm as "she" don't want to hurt her feelings by saying she was manufactured, not born. ;)
