I remember seeing a thread about moon clip storage where forum member and moderator Smith357 had built a moon clip rack that fit in .50 BMG metal ammo can. It held 80 .45 ACP moon clips for total of 480 rounds, and by my calculation, weighed in the neighborhood of 30+ pounds. I decided to make a smaller version of it that would fit in a plastic Harbor Freight .30 cal can, but for 10mm. Mine holds 48 moon clips for a total of 288 rounds and weighs in just a little over 12 pounds with 170 grain LSWC’s and only a pound or so more with 200 grain projectiles. I bought the oak dowels from Home Depot, but everything else was just scrap I had lying around. I’m planning on doing another one for .45 ACP. What do you guys think?
