N°2 Army

It appears the guns have been polished at some time in the past to remove any original finish. The link didn't show the barrel stamping, so I can't tell if they are good copies, or Smith & Wessons. Interesting dealer made case, however. The market is different in Europe for these guns, than in the USA, so 2500 Euros could be achieved. Ed.

Interesting pair. Too bad they are not sequentially serial numbered, plus they appear to be very late production, just 1000 from the end. It appears they are silver plated including the hammer. There is a single line stamping on the top of the barrels, but the pictures will not enlarge enough to read. The serial numbers look OK on the butt, so maybe these guns were silver plated as new outside the factory, since it is always said that S&W never plated the trigger and hammer. Nice bores too, but as Ed states, probably not worth that much here in the US.

I dont' know the foreign firearm market but $3,500 seems a little pricey to me in the condition presented.

Of course, I bought my # 2 Army on eBay in 2000 for $200 with some issues so my frame of reference may be off.
