Hello Dan, I purchased the new model S&W M-21 4' blue in 44 spl. back in the summer of 2007. It sat in the safe for a year. I took it to the range
last summer with 900 fps load which fired about 8-10" higher than point of aim. I'll be testing a
factory type load (700 fps) soon. The 5 1/2 inch barrel is a nice balance. Good luck finding one. Be safe, Mark

I think a model-21 with a 4 inch bull barrel and round butt would be great. Making one in stainless would be even better.

Mine is M21 Classic

the M21 Classic. Super gun

If I refinish this one I will still be a half inch too short. Story of my life!

They are both beautiful pieces, thanks for the pics. I will admit I go for the old pinned barrel shooters. I own a couple and they are superbly accurate.
Dont worry about the odd half inch sir, it dont make much difference!! At least on the target! Enjoy what you have, not what you have not.

How'd the Factory 700fps shoot? I'd guess even higher above POA.

If so, maybe you could try the 429215 @ ~210 grains and 1,050fps. With a little shorter barrel time, it should shoot lower.
