Hello,

This seemed about the best area to post this question.

I am taking the Gunsite revolver course. The N Frame I was planning on bringing is in very good condition with regards to the bluing. Do I have to worry about scratching up the bluing during the course or will it survive ok? Should I be looking at one of the newer N Frames in stainless? Anyone with applicable experience?

Thanks.

I have taken the Gunsite basic pistol course, ages ago. It wasn't an all revolver class, and was mostly semi-autos, though I suspect the course is similar. I doubt very much you will be slamming and dropping the gun much. You will do some barricade shooting in all probability. You will do a lot of work in and out of the holster. Unless you do something dumb there is no reason for your weapon to get beat up. You do want a gun you are thoroughly familiar with, that is totally reliable (not usually a revovler issue) and with broken in leather. Take spare leather if possible. Take more speed loaders than you think you will need. Take more ammo than you thinkyou will need. Have fun.
