I believe both of these came off 610’s that I previously owned and foolishly sold.
They are both later production, flat-sided Combats.
The ones on the right do not have wagers on the back.
Can someone tell me what kind of wood they are made of?
The dark coloration looks very nice against a stainless N-frame.
They were on my 625 Mtn Gun for the longest time but too valuable to carry in the woods.
Thanks in advance!

I would say the grips on the left are traditional goncalo and the ones on the right are Morado or more commonly known as Pau Ferro. From what I have seen the early Morado stocks are always light colored and the grain is easily seen. I'm thinking the stocks on the right have been stained or tinted only because that seems to be the case with the sided combats. But of course Pay Ferro can be dark. S&W morado tends to show tight, straight grain ..
