ALL ITEMS WITHDRAWN....
So, it is not under the best situation that I offer these weapons for sale. They belong to my father and he has recently come down with a nasty case of dementia. I have been tasked with liquidating his collection with the proceeds going to his wife for long-term care in a nursing facility. Of course, I have poached a few favorites, but I can't afford them all...so, to a good home they must go. More to follow, but we are starting out with some N frames...
I am not an FFL, nor do I play one on TV. Make sure your FFL is ok with receiving weapons from a private citizen with a DL. If they insist on a transfer from an FFL, add $35.
Shipping is $35 to your FFL within the lower 48. These weapons are only intended for those that can legally possess same, in a state where they are legal to possess.
Payment via Postal Money Order. 7 day inspection period with no disassembly or firing. You pay postage both ways.
I have made every effort to present these weapons as accurately as possible. I have gone to extra measures to show all flaws and imperfections. That said, the photos aren't great. If you desire additional photos or have questions, let me know.
1. (SOLD) Up first is a bit of an oddity...a 25-2 in 45 acp and an additional cylinder in 45 LC. Serial N640XXX (approx 1979 or 1980 ). So...what's odd? Well, someone has cut the barrel to 5", nicely crowned and magnaported it. But wait...that's not all. They also converted it to a round butt (serial unaltered). Why? Who knows why. Target hammer, grooved-trigger has been thinned and polished and an over-travel screw has been added. The gun has been re-blued. Not a bad re blue, but the fitment of the side plate is a sure tell. No it's not a gun for a purist, but as a shooter, it makes a nice package. For reasons unknown, the revolver is currently sporting the highly prized Pachmyer grippers (sarcasm intended). No box or papers. I could tell you that Custer was carrying this gun at Little Big Horn, but the dates don't add up. $850 plus shipping (SOLD)
2. SPF - Up next, a 29-2 6", serial N772XXX. Probably 1980. No box or papers. 3 T's. I know what you're thinking...is this the same gun that Clint Eastwood carried in "Dirty Harry"? No. Not even close. Gun is in very good shape. Grips appear to be originals. A very, very slight bit of muzzle holster wear. Almost not noticable. The only detractor I really see is the side plate screw that is concealed under the grip is semi-buggered. Not horrible, but it's not perfect. Easy 99% gun if not for the screw. $950 plus shipping. (SPF)
3. Next is a 4" 29-2, serial N61XXX, probably 1971 or 72. No box or papers. 3 T's. Grips believed to be original. What? You are most likely asking yourself, "Was that Elmer Keith's personal 29?" No. Not at all. But, my dad did read "Hell, I Was There" if that counts. This was one of my dad's toting guns and it shows wear. A good shooter, but it has some bluing loss here and there. Still locks up tight though. My dad was a fan of Elmer, but not his loads. A gun with character...and it's a 4 incher...and they are cool. Now $900 plus shipping.
4. Last but, not least, a 6" minty 57-2. Serial BBE prefix which probably puts it in 1989. Grips believed to be original. No box or papers. I can't find anything wrong with this one other than it lacks P&R. Wait...didn't Buford Pusser carry a 41 magnum, you ask? Yes, he did and this ain't it. $900 plus shipping.
Thanks for looking.
