N frame parts??

Are all parts pretty much interchangeable from -2 up to modern N frames apart from the hammer and firing pin.
General mechanics?
Or have they changed over the variants?
I’m familiar with -2 but don’t know if the me variants have been updated over the years.
I could probably use some spare parts here and there as needed.

Same for K frame parts? Are they pretty much the same throughout the variants post 1982?

There are a few variations in pasts, starting around the mid to late 1980s. Most everything else can be swapped around.
