Add to the list of Boeing's woes. NASA has learned many lessons along the way, many of them the hard way at the cost of human lives. NASA has the problem of keeping a smiling face on their issues for fear of government alienation or loss of funding. They cannot afford to make mistakes that cost human lives on top Boeings current issues with quality control and some of their aircraft falling out of the sky, either through pilot error or otherwise it don't look good when your stuff has problems staying in the air. A recently retired airline pilot I know claims that most of the Boeings problems are pilot error, few other countries have the advantage ours does of seemingly unlimited number of qualified ex military pilots who have thousands of flying hours and truly know how to fly rather than follow an instruction manual.

Boeing space suits aren't compatible with the SpaceX craft.
Send up two suits next trip and they can dead head home.
Like SMSgt said the duty pay saved may just about cover costs.

I hope they have lots of extra food up there.

As a general rule, privatizing this kind of stuff is well past clown shoes and pretty far into irresponsible. Using a known, documented, and well established dumpster fire like (modern) Boeing is even worse. Boeing needs a good cleaning like Hercules did the stables, and for the same basic reason. NASA screwed this up by using Boeing and there should be heads bouncing down the street at a staggering rate. The only thing that seems to be being done right is not risking our people any further.

The idea that there is not ONE standard for space suits is just appalling. Whomever is responsible for that needs to be demoted to parking lot attendant.

As for OT, I'll bet there is none - those folks are surely salaried.

Recently watched Tom Hanks From the Earth to the Moon where Frank Borman's testimony before Congress regarding the Apollo fire on the pad attributed the result to a "lack of imagination". I believe that mindset and a willingness to throw good money after bad rather than admit that particular thruster idea literally blows sideways will just retard the process and cost lives.
