I was listening to NPR today on the way back from the grass dump (...don't ask me why I had to listen to that station). Anyways, they were talking to some female scientist about how this past Wednesday a consortium of "concerned scientists" decided that it would be a great idea for scientists worldwide to take that day off as a strike day to demonstrate solidarity with BLM and Antifa. I guess that they went ahead and did it, but it pretty much went un-noticed in my part of the world.
But this got me to thinking. I wondered what would happen if all the cops and firefighters, first responders, and maybe even power plant workers and utility workers decided to do something similar? Perhaps it would be called National Get Your Head Out Of your A** Day, or GYHOOYA (pronounced "guy-hooo-ya". Just a quiet day with no noisy sirens or lights, no air conditioning. Just a day for those concerned to sit back and contemplate how far astray from the Antifa-nirvana life that those that know so much more than us would have us live. Perhaps in mid-August. Its probably a good thing that I don't run the world. -S2
