Use to be Scott's was a nice 1000 sheets of 4.5 x 4.5 - felt you were getting your money's worth. Over the years it has shrunk to 4.1 wide x 3.7 long per sheet - pretty soon you'll be able to fit 2 rolls on a holder or wait - maybe TP on a rope...

I appreciate it also today, during WW2,we had to use both sides to
conserve paper.

until today i honestly did not know that there was a national toilet paper day thank you for the education JcMack

The way this country is going, I will stop all toilet paper purchases and switch to US currency.

lined up and ready to go.........................

Used to be you just bought it and... well... used it, and it was OK.

These days, you have to keep your eye on the ball when you buy it because either it's John Wayne (doesn't take **** off anyone) or if you moisten it, it turns to oatmeal - not good.

What's with that recycled stuff?! Recycling is OK, but this goes too far!
Can we agree that one use is plenty in this arena?

Great. Yet another product I have to start looking for a "Made in the USA" label on the packaging...

These new slick magazines and catalogs just don't work like the old Sears catalog. I think you should go green (or brown) and have reusable like diapers. Just a rinse and ready to use again.

So even if you have a bidet, you still need paper to dry off.?? Unless Dyson has reinvented something.:D:eek:

Are you old enough to remember in the early 70's when Johnny Carson, on the Tonite Show, made an announcement that there was a serious shortage of toilet paper? Meant as a joke; however, people took him seriously and within 2 days you couldn't find any toilet paper anywhere. People bought all they could find. He later apologized for the joke.

An all around enlightening discussion --- I'm glad the observation of this important occasion didn't slip through the cracks...
