I’m surprised someone hadn’t previously mentioned the historical significance of this day. The Wright Brothers first powered flight occurred 121 years ago on this date heralding the birth of aviation as we know it.

I lived in Dayton, OH (home of Wright-Patterson AFB) off and on for many years. Dayton, where the brothers had their bicycle shop, has the Wright Memorial on Wright Brother's Hill. Interesting place to visit if you are in town.
