The ATC probably should have gone Full Ermey as soon as s/he realized that the FlexJet was not listening/following directions. Sometimes one does not have the option to be "nice".
That was about as close as you can get without having little bits of aluminum flying all over the place. Did the airliner's mains touch the runway? I couldn't tell, but it was a nicely done go-around, and the pilot may even be able to log a touch and go in his logbook.
