with a couple.

I always enjoy a "Light show" when they come to town.

I usually get a flash and 8-10 second boom to let me know the show is near town.

It is fun to hear the rumblings go across the area and see how long it last.

However;
when it gets to "Crack,Bang" with no pause, it is time to head for cover !!

lightning

a few years back i was in Chicago for a USW safety convention . typical country boy in the evening i tried to see some of the sites . i was at the top of the sears tower with the other site seeing folk and watched a thunder storm come from the great lake Michigan i think but could be wrong . good vantage point . watched a storm come from far away across the lake , through Chicago and disappear in the distance . AWESOME . i was a bit worried about a power failure and 1 of the employees told me all power underground . dumb*** country boy i hadn't even noticed . highly recommended . seldom have seen such an impressive site . kenny

It started again at 4 am. Almost constant daylight until the real sun came up. An impressive storm.
