I was buildin a bookshelf earlier and, naturally, I got thirsty.
It got me thinkin- what do y'all drink?
I'm quenching that thirst with a cold Bud Light right now.

Most often in my fridge (as far as cheap drinkable **** is concerned) is:
Natty Light (flame me. I actually enjoy this, no matter what society says. Plus, 95 calories, fits in my diet :D)
Busch
Bud Light
Coors Light

Edit:
I forgot about the 4 gallons of hard cider I made. Delicious!

(nectar of the gods means beer)

iced tea
hot coffee
iced coffee
water
blackberry cider
cherry cider

keep a cool head, that's me......nyuk, nyuk, nyuk

hot tea in the winter and sweet tea in the summer...on a real hot day I like a cold Kaliber (had to give up the other stuff) after mowing the lawn...in the old days several cold beers would taste good....:D

Iced Tea
Coffee
Powerade/Gatorade

...that pretty much sums up everything I drink. I'll have 1-2 beers per month, if that. I don't always drink, but when I do, it's a Yuengling.

Hard to beat hot apple cider sittin by the fire after a day out in the winter. Summer time I gota have horchata over ice, thats hard to beat on a 100 degree day.

My 2 cents

Howdy,
I like a cold beer from time to time but "Nectar of the Gods" and breakfast of champions is distilled not brewed, and for my taste somewhere North of the northern border.
Thanks
Mike

Ice water--our tap water has been rated the best-tasting of any medium or large city.
Italian-roast coffee.
Twinings Irish Breakfast tea.
Hot & Spicy V-8, or tomato juice with sriracha stirred in.
Tonic water (Schweppes) and lime. Or half and half with grapefruit juice.

I interpret Nectar of the Gods as meaning a spatlese Rhine or Mosel Riesling wine. Those from around Rauenthal are often cited as favorites of German enthusiasts. Most of the Prum-Erben holdings on the Mittel-Mosel are also excellent, Wehlener - Sonnenuhr being a favorite vineyard. From Bernkastel, the celebrated Doctor vineyard is legendary...and priced like it! Gen. Eisenhower was presented with a case following WW II.

Some may prefer a sweet white Bordeaux, sold under the Sauternes or Barsac commune appellations. One of the finest wines I've ever drunk was a botttle of Chateau Coutet, 1975 vintage.

I do not accept that beer is a "nectar". It can be very good for what it is, and I've drunk a little Bud, Michelob, Kirin, and Grolsch. Some Lowenbrau. Sam Adams. In lighter beer, Heineken. (sp?)

Right now, I'm about to make a cup of decaf tea, Twining's English Breakfast. But I don't call tea "nectar." Earlier today, I drank their Irish Breakfast, which Shouldazagged mentioned. A fine blend of black tea from Assam in NE India.

I used to agonize over what the Greeks meant by that term. I thought it had something to do with honey. But that's too thick to be "nectar."

Earlier today, I was corresponding with a Scot who likes single malt whisky. (Yeah, that's how they spell it. Only Americans say, "whiskey.") That can also be very good. He noted that Prince Charles likes Laphroig. Now, Charles is a Scorpio, astrologically. That seems to fit. Being a Gemini, I somewhat logically prefer the lighter Highland malts and my favorite overall has been The Glenlivet. In a blended whisky, Chivas Regal is similar. But nectar?

I'll stick with a spatlese or auslese grade Riesling or a Sauternes. (Keep in mind that wines from Barsac can also legally use the Sauternes appellation controlee.)

I'll drink bourbon like water, but there's something so refreshing about a nice cold beer...

It was 92 degrees. I had just finished pushing the mower around the back acre. My t shirt was soaked from sweat, my ankles and shoes wore the evidence of where I had spent the last hour and a half. As I walked into the kitchen I was handed a tall, wafer thin, freezer chilled pilsner glass of ice cold beer. Poured just how I liked it with a thick head on top just barely containing itself above the rim while drops of condensation slid down the side of the glass. I raised the glass and began to drink through the foam until I came to that ice cold amber nectar of the gods that lies below. A swallow and another, and yet another in rapid succession when suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, gently shaking me....."Moe, Moe, wake up Moe, it's 10:30, the dogs need to go out again before we call it a night. Dress warm, it's 12 below outside".

In the late 90s, you could buy beer on post cheaper than Coca Cola. A six pack of Busch Light tall boys is the ounce for ounce equivalent of eight beers. The PX used to sell said six pack for $3.95... that works out to be $0.49 for a 12 ounce beer!

My tastes have evolved a bit since then, but I still don't find Busch to be all that bad.

For me, Nectar of the Gods, would be Laphroiag 10 year old Single Malt Scotch...

Nothing else even comes close...

NOTHING.

Water, milk, coffee, oj, and other fruit juices.
I gave up beer 5 years ago and dropped 60 pounds since.
I still enjoyed Scotch and red wine, then gout hit me. Now I'm giving up the Scotch and maybe wine, I'll see.

Lagunitas IPA (IPA)
Brother Thenonious by North Coast Brewing Co. (Abby style ale)
Kiltlifter, Four Peaks Brewing Co. (Scottish Ale)
Scrimshaw, North Coast Brewing Co. (Pilsner)

-Lagunitas IPA has a great hop-head to it, without too much bitterness.
-Brother Thelonious is a super smooth Abby ale, not too sweet, that is as good on the nose as a fine wine, just awesome.
-Kiltlifter is a local beer, a great ale that is not too "bread" tasting like some ales can be.
-Scrimshaw is the best Pilsner in the United States. I've had many, and this so far is the best (take this from a 1st generation German-American whom visits family in Germany and drinks European micro-brewed Pilsners all the time, in the villages it is brewed in).

Let me also add that My water tastes very good.

I drink a lot of it daily.

I live in the Toolies, and my water comes from my well, @ 580ft deep, from the Wilcox Aquifer.

My research indicates that this is regarded as one of the two "sweetest" acquifers on the entire Planet.

I can state that "Wilcox Ice" does taste especially good in Laphroaig Scotch...

I will never move, from here...

Original Coke (Ice cold, and not on Ice)
Big Red (Ice cold, not on ice)
Cream Soda (Ice cold, no ice)
See a pattern here? haha..
My family has a bad history with "spirits" so I have tend to avoid them...

Coffee in the morning.
Water during the day.
Miller Lite before supper.
Ice Tea if I'm up in the middle of the night, like now.
