I'm currently haggling on a NIB Sig P228. Gun has been a safe queen, owner has never shot it. Made 1994 in West Germany, comes with box, 2 mags, all original paperwork and a holster.
Seller is solid at $800.
I've wanted one of these for a while now. I am tempted. Don't really need it. Need to make a decision real soon or I'll miss it.
So what y'all think?

Buy it, well worth it if it’s new in box with triple matching serial numbers, worth more than $800. I’ve got 3 of them and they are fantastic shooters, never a fail to fire in any of them.

While it isn't a tremendous bargain it's not a bad price in stated condition.
I would buy. I have one in about 95% and paid 700 about 6 months ago. But no box or papers. They are great shooters. You will enjoy.

I am seeing some priced in the 600's but most are just the guns. I saw one that had a price drop for $795 to $720.
This ad was placed Oct. 2019 from a LGS. I will not say where because that is against the rules here. I don't even know if it is sold or not.

If you want one, buy this. Since you’re considering a gun in this price range even though you say you “don’t really need it”, I’ll assume that financially 50 bucks up or down aren’t going to be crucial to your retirement. And while I haven’t looked specifically for these, new with everything at that price isn’t something I recall seeing often.
