Guys please help me : History I got a S&W M&P FS .40 cal. police trade in immaculate condition from Buds, The only thing wrong when I got it was the night sights where lousy so I called S&W and they said send it in for new up to date sight replacement on their dime, while I am awaiting its return home I decided to do a Apex trigger and sear replacement and rework all the action. I got the Apex trigger polymer kit, and decided to update the slide stop assembly (brownells)ordered a new trigger bar hopefully with "H" awaiting its on brownells backorder, ordered a Apex Ram M&P Reset Assist Mechanism w/Magazine Disconnect ,and just got my brownells sear housing block assembly updated so I should have the larger 1/8 inch sear plunger.
MY BIG PROBLEM NOW IS: I received my sear housing block assembly from Brownells and see no way to install the new Apex ram ,I am concerned that I got the wrong housing ? I took the sear out and it does have the 1/8 spring BUT when I try and get the stock ram out by pushing with a 1/16 punch from right to left it just has the spring react and the stock ram wont budge what am I doing wrong ???? must I turn the stock ram in a spacific way ?? I posted pics of the housing ...please help.
Thanks Bullstone

Larry,

So what you’re seeing in your sear housing block is actually an ILS or Internal Locking System. That would need to be removed to run our RAM. It’s a once removed you can’t go back kind of job. Use a punch and knock out the lock from right to left. It may be a little snug but should knock out with a few good taps.

Once the lock is out of the way you should be able to drop the RAM and spring in without any troubles
