John has designed our new J frame grips (RB only). We have a full-sized J-round combat grip and a two finger grooved J-round boot grip. These two styles will be offered notched for models with hammers and un-notched for models without hammers. They have an enclosed backstrap only. These will not work with the "lemon-squeezer" grip safety models (model 40 and 42).
We have a few testers and are looking for one or two more that will give us honest feedback. We have a couple for model 60's so would like other models. What you will need to do is:
1. Try our grip on one of your J frame models and see how it fits. Take a few pictures showing fit and email them to us. Let us know if they fit well or if there were any fitting issues.
2. Take your J frame out to the range with our grips installed (or shooting area) and put a few rounds through it (unless they hurt) and report to us on how they felt. Were they comfortable? Did they feel natural aiming? How did they handle recoil? Were they too thin or too thick? Were the grooves comfortable or did any areas rub fingers the wrong way? Etc....
We are looking for honest feedback. In exchange for the pictures and report, you get to keep the grips. Grips will be similar to the ones in the photos.
Please post below if you are interested, and if so, what model you would like to try them on and what grip you would prefer. If you don't want to list what model you have you can send me a PM but you must state below that you are interested. Grips to choose from are:
1a. Notched Boot for models with hammers
1b. Un-notched Boot for hammerless models
2a. Notched Full-sized combat grip for models with hammer
2b. Un-notched full-sized combat grip for hammerless models
Please see the attached pictures. I was using a handheld light (orange flashlight) to try to highlight the grip but it put a weird yellow glow on the revolver.
