Need opinion on shooting gloves? I have been shooting full loads from my 460 and after 4 or 5 shots my palm starts hurting. I would like to get a shooting glove to help eliminate the pain.
Any suggestions?

This is too easy.......
Smack questioner with rubber ducky and say
"Stop doing that!"
Hee Haw fans will remember that.

If you reload try lighter loads for practice.
See about getting the handgun Magnaported.

This is going to sound crazy, Get a Bionic golf glove or two preferably in black they come left and right separately but in many sizes. they are as close to perfect as I have seen. double leather where you need it single layer with good feel in the right places. fit is ergonomically perfect, they are slightly curves for closed fist. No kidding. I was as surprised as anybody.

I have arthritis in my thumb joint and I just had Carpal Tunnel surgery. I always shoot with gloves. They help alot. Get gloves with gel in the palms. I like Past and Uncle Mike's.

I'm with George and indiandave on this one.

I have one revolver in .41 mag that shoots fine...except when you run a whole box of 50 through it, eventually the logo, upon which my thumb rests, starts blistering my thumb.

I've never tried padded palm or golf gloves, but I do use a garden variety batting glove. Works like a charm. It's just enough to diminish the effect of the torque of the repeated shots that cause the blistering.

For heavy recoiling loads I have a pair of gloves from Cabela's (marked only with their name). These are soft genuine leather, with an extra layer in the area between thumb and forefinger. The finger tips are cut off for comfort in hot weather, and the back closes with a velcro fastener. I don't remember how much they cost, but you can probably find them on the Cabela's web site.

I have a problemm with my right thumb area and needed a glove. I'M getting old. I looked at shooting, golf, baseball, and bicycle gloves at Acadamy Sports. The bicycle glove by bell struck me as best. They were also the least expensive. They have jell packs in several places. I believe they cost me 12.95. They are outstanding. The shooting gloves were over priced and I didn't see any way they would help my problem. I am very happy with the bell bicycle gloves.

The gun is a 460 S&W with a built in compensator. This model is the performance center with muzzle brake. 8 3/8 barrel. I shot 45 Long colt and 454 casuall most of the time.
Love the gun but need some to damp the recoil with full loads.

thanks

I am with 'George Minze' on this one. I tried my hand at golfing many years ago. The only thing that I got out of it was that paired golf gloves make wonderful shooting gloves. And the pair that I am using right now are by Bionic. Try them. They are wonderful with the full magnum revolvers. .......... Big Cholla
