I haven't had much luck in finding a good "High Rise" type holster for my 642! Right Hand, leather would be best with a forward cant. Too many hang way below the belt. Any help would be great !!! Thanks

I rarely carry a J-frame on a belt holster as I almost exclusively pocket carry. There are time however, when I will use an OWB holster, and two of my favorites are the Bianchi Model 55L - Lightnin':

and the Galco Combat Master:

I'll echo the Lobo Gun Leather suggestion. Might want to sun a search in the Gun Leather forum and request this thread be moved there, too.

Galco Paddle Holster

I recently purchased this Galco paddle holster for my 642CT and just love it. Not cheap, but quality never is. Got mine for LH.
Once installed OWB, I forget it is there. :D

I recently had a high ride holster made to my specifications by Lobo Leather for my 64 snubby. I already owned several others by different manufacturers, none quite measured up to my needs. Lobo produced the finest product that far exceeded my expectations, the fit was absolutely perfect and it rode exactly as I had hoped. I highly recommend his work.

When I carry my 638 owb I use a Desantis. Can't remember which model, but I know they have several owb choices for the j frames. I went with one with a thumb break and am very happy with it. I know they have a couple without as well. Pretty reasonably priced.

Galco Concealable for a J-frame. Google it. Also, there's a Galco Fletch.

However, that D.M. Bullard looks like it can't be improved upon. I've got a Bullard for my Ruger SR1911 CMD and it's a forward cant. Fine craftsmanship.
