Hello Forum;
I would appreciate it if any of you have the firearm listed and its red clamshell box. I do not know many particulars and could not obtain any pics, but I did handle the gun and checked the usual mechanical items. It is tight, clean crisp bore and I believe it to be a Model 31 Regulation Police, except it's sn predates WWII. Barrel is 4-1/4" long, all serial numbers match, round butt, believe the grips to be black hard rubber. The red colored box has "32 Hand Ejector" on the label, along with fine print underneath that states "4-1/4" barrel". serial number penciled on box bottom matches. Cleaning rod (used) may be original too, I don't know
Cosmetically it is pretty good with only some bluing wear on the left side of the barrel only
Per SCSW 4th, the pre war serial number range was 331320 to 536685 and this one is definitely in that range.
Again..........if anyone has a red box with similar label, or has just a gun meeting this pre-war serial range, and can post some pics I would really appreciate it. The price (before negotiation) is OK with me, and the condition is nice enough for me to probably go for it, but I like to hear other opinions on these real old ones.
Thanks for listening
