I picked up a very nice original finish 1945 correct marked wwII colt 1911a1 that has military national match serial number parts and looks to be an authentic springfield armory national match rework. Slide to frame fit is outstanding and shoots fantastic. However the previous owner may have lost his mind and pucch holed in the front stap for some crude stippling for a better grip. I do not think the armory would have sone such a poor quality job. I want to send the pistol so someone can do a more professional stippling job and fix it up, and then reparkerize that section only. Does anyone on the forum have any recommedations?
