Need some glass/window advice please

I'm in need of some window/glass advice please. Long story short; our oldest shot his window from the inside with his BB rifle :mad: :mad: :mad:

Is there a way to fix it w/o replacing the whole window? It's a vertical slider if that matters.

Take some pictures of the whole assembly then go to a good window sales or installer they should be able to advise next step and cost. If it is a very simple window you might order the whole sliding part which will be factory sealed and pop it in yourself.
 
I know you can have rock chips repaired in your wind shield, but that window glass is toast.
Call a glass company and have them come out and give a free estimate.
 
See if there is a sticker from the mfgr on the frame somewhere with an 800 number and msmts. Some companies can work from the msmts on this label and a replacement panel can be ordered by a window retailer, sometimes under warranty. There would be a charge from the local firm to install it, however.

When I worked for a custom window installer in NYC, this was the process.

Slam the slider door real hard and the whole thing will shatter, it's weak now.

Then get a new one.:)

But seriously all the homes down here have glass sliders.

Call the glass company and have it replaced it is not difficult for them to do.

Will check the window for stickers, call them and look what my options are.
