Greetings fellow Smith autophiles.

I have recently received my papers for my Coastal gun inc. 45 cal suppressor.
If you were starting from scratch, which direction would you go?

The M&P 45 threaded is $600. or so and probably the best value.

The FN with its 3 15 round magazines is big and stone reliable and has the tall sights for
clearance over the suppressor. But is about $950. my cost for a good used one from a friend of mine.

The H&K is a great and is after all, an HK. I can procure a compact for about $1000.

And then there is the opportunity to support Smith and Wesson with the purchase of a new pistol.
I think no matter which direction I go, I will be buying a new Smith M&P 45 just because.

Any and all input welcome.

Thank you,

Try taking it to a gunsmith with a small machine shop. He may want to see your papers before doing the job. Easy enough to do, but he'll be cautious.
Edited: I thought you already had a weapon, after reading I misuderstood on the first read. Check anyway, maybe he has a good one on the shelf he can thread for you.
